This holiday season, the Sister Bay Historical Society will host Door County’s annual Christkindlmarkt, or Christmas market. Starting the last weekend in November, Christkindlmarkt will showcase vendors selling handcrafted, made-in-Door County goods, with food booths selling northern European fare. The market is scheduled to be open November 29-December 1, December 6-8, and December 13-15 in 2024.
Holiday markets are popular throughout the world, and they are a wonderful place for a family outing, finding treasures made by local artisans, and purchasing that perfect gift.
The event will be held at the Corner of the Past Museum, a beautiful recreation of a pioneer homestead in the late 19th century. The vendors will include weavers, potters, photographers, painters, woodworkers, furniture makers, jewelers, candlemakers, glass artists, and more, with food and drink provided by local restaurants. doorcountychristmasmarket.com

Baileys Harbor, our holiday celebration will include activities at the Ridges Sanctuary followed by family fun at other locations in Baileys Harbor, songs of cheer and a visit from Santa, his elves and reindeer. Town Hall Tree Lighting will take place, too!

Continue your evening with warm, delicious hot cocoa at Blue Horse and late night shopping and dining in charming Fish Creek.

Fish Creek’s longest-standing tradition and Door County’s quirkiest winter event features live music, games, delicious food, the not-so-serious “Fruit Loop Fun Run,” an entertaining Stumpf Fiddle Contest, and a spectacular fireworks display.
